Is Cubbi an agent?

Yes. Cubbi is a licensed real estate agent.

Do you act as an ‘agent’ for my property?

Yes, when you get started with Cubbi you will sign an agreement that gives Cubbi the authority to act on your behalf just like any normal property manager.

What’s the difference between Cubbi and an agent?

With Cubbi, your property is digitally managed, whereas with a traditional agent, your property is managed by a person (a new one every 11 months based on industry stats). All decisions and preferences are made through the Cubbi platform so for example rather than you approving a tenant application over the phone, via email or an in-office meeting you simply approve them on the Cubbi platform. This makes it extremely convenient for you, efficient to operate and transparent for everyone.

Am I legally protected?

Yes absolutely. We stress about the legals so you don’t have to. Cubbi operates under the Residential Tenancy Act and the Estate Agents Act. In addition, we’re constantly reducing your risk in line with insurance policies so you know you’re always covered.

Does the renter have direct contact with me?

Cubbi is your renters’ first point of contact however unlike an agent, Cubbi fosters direct communication between owners and renters without forcing it. This balanced approach gives you more control and transparency over your asset while still keeping you at arm's length in order to make the right investment decisions.

What areas do you Cover?

What types of properties does Cubbi manage?

The short answer is residential properties in Australia. Not commercial, no short-term accommodation, not sharehouse, not rent-by-room, not student accommodation. Got something a little different or not sure - contact us.

What if I’m not happy, can I leave anytime?

We’ll always work hard to keep you happy and promise to solve problems no matter how small. Failing that or for any other reason, you can leave anytime, no notice period required, and definitely no hard feelings. We believe in doing the right thing and being fair. It’s not fair to be stuck with a service you don’t like.

What are the fees?

The Cubbi fair pricing model provides great value regardless of your property and the rent amount. Today, most agents make an unfair profit from good properties with higher than-average rents. What is your refund policy?

It comes back to being fair and doing the right thing. If we didn’t provide the service as promised and/or you were negatively impacted by our neglect we’ll happily refund your money and work as hard as possible to make things right. It’s just who we are. In addition, you’re also covered by CubbiCover so it’s worth taking a look at that too.
